These chandeliers were hanging in the famous Hall of Mirrors at Versallies. They were doing a bit of refurbishing which some were sad about but I was not. The area they were cleaning was protected by black gypsum board and the lights were hanging down as if from a dark blackness. It was the perfect contrast to such a traditional, ornate room.

This is the view down the hall of several of the chandeliers.

The Orangerie at Versallies was beautiful. Every garden and fountain there was done on a ridiculious scale.

Posted by PicasaI took this photo by the lake area at Versallies where we rented row boats and paddled our way down the river. It is such and enticing path.
